Our Culpeper team recently completed a 9.0 kW rooftop solar installation designed for long-term reliability and energy savings. Every detail of this project — from structural design to final inspection — reflects the professionalism and precision that define Cenvar Solar’s approach to clean energy.
This home features 20 REC Alpha Pure-RX 450W panels paired with Enphase IQ8X microinverters, delivering both high efficiency and independent module-level performance. Each component was selected for its durability, safety, and compatibility under Virginia’s demanding environmental conditions.
The array was mounted using the Unirac NXT UMount racking system with Stronghold Butyl attachments, providing watertight protection and exceptional long-term strength. The design was carefully engineered to meet the 2021 Virginia Residential Code for wind, snow, and roof load compliance.
Before installation, the Cenvar Solar engineering team prepared a full plan set and structural review stamped by a licensed professional engineer. These plans were submitted to Albemarle County for permitting and later inspected for final approval.
On October 24, 2025, the system successfully passed its final building inspection with the Community Development Department, verifying that all installation work met local and state code requirements. This process ensures that every connection, attachment, and component not only performs efficiently but also complies with all safety regulations.
With an estimated annual production of 13,090 kilowatt-hours, this solar system offsets a significant portion of the home’s electricity use, protecting the homeowner from rising energy rates and reducing their carbon footprint. Over its lifespan, this system will prevent the equivalent emissions of over 200 barrels of oil — a measurable step toward a cleaner, more sustainable community.
Every Cenvar Solar project follows a rigorous process: engineered plans, structural certification, electrical inspections, and final county approval. This isn’t a simple plug-and-play installation — it’s professional, licensed, and quality-assured work performed by a team that takes pride in getting every detail right.
