Our Lynchburg team recently completed a new rooftop solar installation on Oakdale Drive — a clean, modern 5.85 kW system that gives this homeowner lasting energy savings and greater independence from rising utility costs.

A Smart Energy Investment

With 15 high-efficiency REC Alpha Pure-RX panels paired with Enphase IQ8 microinverters, this system produces around 7,800 kilowatt-hours of renewable power every year — enough to offset more than 80% of the home’s annual energy use.
Each panel operates independently through the Enphase microinverter system, allowing for real-time monitoring and optimized performance even when parts of the roof are shaded.

The system was mounted using Unirac NXT UMount racking with Stronghold Butyl attachments, providing a watertight and durable connection to the roof. Before installation, our engineering team verified the home’s existing structure met all requirements under the 2021 Virginia Residential Code, ensuring the roof could easily support the solar array without any structural upgrades.
